3 Days 3 Quotes Tag: Day 2

I’ve been tagged by Kathy from Pages Below the Vaulted Sky in the 3 Days 3 Quotes Tag. I’ll keep it short given it’s the weekend. 🙂

Day 2

Educated quote
Tara Westover, Educated: A Memoir

I can not stop thinking about Educated (my review)

I think people may think it’s about survivalists.

To me, this book is all about having courage to belong nowhere but to yourself.

To be strong enough to say goodbye to those toxic and hurtful relationships.

If you haven’t read this book yet, I recommend giving it a go.

Fancy giving it a go?

Don’t feel pressurised to participate though. 🙂

And anyone else who would like to do this tag. You’re It!

Hope you are having a great weekend full of sunshine and happiness.🌞

    1. Big hugs. 💕
Sadly, I had that experience as well and could not agree more re. filling those empty spaces. They don’t need to be filled at all.
Saying goodbye when needed is not a weakness, but one of our biggest strengths. ❤️

  1. Wow, another powerful quote, and yes, how true it is, Vera. I think we all experience toxic relationship where we have to move on to survive. And no, not a sign of weakness, but strength.

    1. Thank you Alex. ❤️ Our ability to walk away with love rather than hate or resentment in our hearts is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful abilities to possess.

I’m having problem writing comments on your blog somehow. 😞 I wrote a few of them and none of them have gone through. The joy of technology… 😞

I’m so happy you are taking part in this tag. 😊 What a beautiful quote you used. I’m writing it into my quote notepad. Friends are here to be cherished and enjoyed no matter how far away they happen to be. ❤️

      1. It’s so diificult to move beyond certain people and, yes, keep love in our hearts before they destroy that too. It takes a lot of courage and strength.

Dang! Sorry you can’t leave comments on my blog I have no idea why that is. Oh well, that’s life! ☺️ And how could I not do a meme about quotes? I have literally books full of them. And this one is particularly poignant.

      2. I so agree.

I took a screenshot and will send it to WordPress, it can be my end. In the meantime, I’ll carry on trying.

I know, I collect quotes too, I have vision boards as well as notepads full of them. Limiting myself to three only has been a lot of fun as it’s quite a challenge. 😊

  2. It could be wordpress, mwhich is the software I use to, who knows. It just may have timed out. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh, I know. I go crazy with notebooks. And pens. And stationery in general. It’s an addiction. I love doodling alsorts of stuff in notebooks, telling myself it’s research. 😜

    1. I’ve notified WordPress to let them know.

I’m the same, I would spent my pocket money on stationary and notebooks as well. 😊👌

As I can’t comment on your reply about that letter from your mum – I attempted to write that universe has this cruel way of shattering our hearts whilst giving them hope. I agree with you that words matter and are powerful. I’m going to buy some lovely letter set and send them to my loved ones. ❤️

      1. I’ve had problems before with the WordPress login, and not letting me comment. I think every so often they get a glitch, I’m sure it will get resolved.

Meanwhile, I’m sure we are not alone in our stationery buying habits, I have friends who are worse than I am.

Yes, getting that letter from my mum, after the fact, almost groke me but then, rallied me too. That I had hervwords seemed like an amazing gift. Life does things like that and we’ll never understand.

Oh, I am so glad you’re going to buy some letter stock and write more. We all need to do that.
